Rules Errata

The below errata covers miscellaneous rules that are likely to come up in play.

Extreme Heat and Cold

Whenever the effective temperature (considering wind and humidity) is outside the standard range for what a character is wearing, Constitution saves are required at various time intervals to avoid taking levels of exhaustion. Creatures with resistance to the corresponding type of damage need to make these saves half as often, and creatures with immunity do not need to make saves.

Strenuous activity doubles the frequency of saves made for extreme heat and lowers the low and high ends of the comfort range by 10 degrees.

The comfort range for a naked Iodian is 30-90 degrees. Wearing clothes lowers the lower end of this range by 10 degrees. On top of clothes, you may wear light, medium, or heavy winter gear. These encumber the wearer similar to armor of the same category. Light lowers the lower and upper ends of the range by 20 degrees. Medium lowers the lower end by 30 and the upper end by 20. Heavy lowers the lower end by 40 and the upper end by 30. The encumbrances of winter gear and armor stack.

101+ degrees below comfortable. Creatures gain one level of exhaustion every round.

81-100 degrees below comfortable. Creatures gain one level of exhaustion every minute.

61-80 degrees below comfortable. Creatures must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw needed at the end of every minute of exposure or gain one level of exhaustion.

31-60 degrees below comfortable. Creatures must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw needed at the end of every five minutes of exposure or gain one level of exhaustion.

1-30 degrees below comfortable. Creatures must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw needed at the end of every ten minutes of exposure or gain one level of exhaustion. At this temperature, the max level of exhaustion from this effect is 3.

1-15 degrees above comfortable. Creatures must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw needed at the end of every half-hour of exposure or gain one level of exhaustion. At this temperature, the max level of exhaustion from this effect is 3.
